Book Review: IDENTICAL by: Ellen Hopkins

I’m going to start off by saying that this is one of my FAVORITE books. The twist at the end is really an actual twist. I didn’t see it coming. It is told in free verse, likewise with a majority of Ellen Hopkins’ young adult stories and I love that writing style. You can tell that she puts so much detail and emotion behind each page as the character tells their side of things.

I recommend this for anyone 15+ because of language and adult situations (same with all of the author’s other books told in this style, CRANK, GLASS, etc.)

Very well told story as well as beautifully, and poetically written.

I felt very connected to the main characters and their character development, I thought, was wonderfully done within such beautiful prose.

Have you read any of Ellen Hopkins’ other novels?
